I’m Joel Beck, a fully qualified tiler with 10 years of experience working on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore. I help homeowners transform their spaces with high-quality tiling that looks good, functions well and is built to last. From detailed bathroom renovations to larger wall and floor tiling projects, I bring a careful, considered approach to every job. I take the time to understand your vision, provide reliable service and ensure every stage from preparation through to the final finish is completed to a high standard. - Which areas do you service?
- All of Sydney's Northern Beaches — from Manly and Balgowlah up through Collaroy, Narrabeen, Mona Vale, Newport and Avalon — plus Mosman.
- Do you provide free quotes?
- Yes. Send through the details of your job and photos if you have them, and I'll come back with a clear price. For larger jobs I prefer to walk the site so the quote accounts for the actual substrate and levels.
- Do you handle waterproofing?
- Yes. Tiled wet areas are waterproofed to Australian Standards before any tile goes down, with the correct falls to waste so water drains properly without pooling.
- Can you tile over an existing tiled surface?
- Sometimes, but only when the existing surface is solid and level. Depending on the substrate it's usually better value to strip back and start from a newly prepared surface.
- How long does a standard residential tiling job take?
- Most jobs take around three to five working days for preparation, waterproofing, tiling and grouting, depending on the size, tile format and how much work the substrate needs.
- Do you supply the tiles?
- Clients usually choose and supply their own tiles, which keeps the selection completely open. I'm happy to advise on formats, sizes and quantities so you order the right amount with a sensible allowance for cuts.
